Anika was 8½ years old. It is a great age for ferrets. Thank you for your sweet word
Yes they are very special pet, very intelligent with full of emotions and of affection. There are very funny because they love to play and to play with you and they are very smart. Affectionate as cats, playfull as dogs, but more smart than both. (I have dog and cats also) ... Saddly they have many health issues, that only a knowledge veterinary can help with. Because there are ferrets and they are so so curious they can be in trouble and in danger easely. You need to make your home ferret proofing, even like that they find always something that you don't have thought about. It is a little as to have a baby human of 2years and half, who starts to walk, want to explore, put everything in the mouth, want to go up to the stairs (ferrets have not a good vision, and they don't fall in their paws as a cat, many injury are from to fall from somewhere... Ferrets are lovely and when they love you it is true love. Thank you for asking and for your interest
